I've recently discovered that after years of denial and excuses, I'm an alcoholic. I'm 26 years old, and this is the story of my journey.
Hey Bruce, This study has been badly misreported. The actual result is: while heroin and cocaine are more dangerous to each individual user, at the societal level, due to the ubiquity of use, there is more damage done by alcohol as a whole.
Who am I to disagree? I'm an alcoholic who's never tried heroin or crack. Yet.
I know that alcohol seems to be more pervasive and acceptable. It is pushed hugely everywhere. And it is a sneaky thing, as I am sure that you know. The progressive disease affects those who use it and those who are around it.
